Jeff and Julie are your hosts at The Lodge, and we would be very pleased if you decided to stay with us during your visit to Hobart.
We have lived and worked in Hobart for most of our lives raising 4 children and various household pets. Our 3 boys still live in Hobart and our daughter Jacqui is now living in Melbourne, but she comes over quite regularly to visit. Daisy and Alfie, our 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, live with us in The Lodge and if you are lucky you might be greeted by them while you are staying with us.
Prior to taking over The Lodge we had CD music stores in Hobart for over 23 years, but the “internet” came along and wiped us out along with most music stores worldwide. So, we thought we would try our hand at hospitality and now we wish we had made the change much earlier as we enjoy this so much more than retailing. We get to meet people from all over the world and because they are on holidays, they are all relaxed and happy.
Having lived here for so long we have extensive knowledge of Hobart and its surrounds and enjoy imparting this to our guests to help them decide on what to see and do in our lovely city.
